Waste no more travel time and book an airport transfer with us from either the Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport or Donmuang International Airport to our Arcadia Suites. This transfer service operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our airport transfer must be pre-booked at least 48 hours prior to your arrival. However, if you wish to book the transfer within the 48 hours of your travel date, you can contact our Customer Service Team and they will be happy to assist you on the booking.

BANGKOK MASS TRANSIT SYSTEMS

Bangkok’s mass transit systems are safe, comfortable, reliable and convenient. Many of the city’s attractions are easily reached by either the BTS Skytrain and/or MRT underground. The stations listed below are the closest to the hotel.

PHLOENCHIT BTS SKYTRAIN STATION

The Ploenchit BTS Skytrain Station can easily be reached within approximately 5 minutes by our complimentary Tuk Tuk Shuttle Service from Arcadia Suites. If the hotel guest chooses to walk, it would take around 10 minutes. The BTS Skytrain has two routes – Sukhumvit Line & Silom Line – which cover much of the central city areas. The trains run daily from 6 am – 12 pm midnight, with the schedule seeing trains running every few minutes during the day and more frequently during rush hour.

TICKET TYPES

Single Journey

The ticket is valid for a single journey on the day of issue, with the fare depending upon the length of destination and ranging from THB 15 – 52 per journey. Tickets can be purchased from ticket offices and vending machines located at the stations.

One Day Pass

The ticket can be purchased from ticket offices located at the stations and is valid for unlimited journeys on the date of issue or registration only, costing THB 130 net per pass Note: the ticket is non-refundable.

BANGKOK TAXIS

Metered air-con taxis are available around-the-clock. The flag fall is THB 40 for the first kilometer, the fare climbs in THB 6.50/km increments for the 2nd to 10th kilometers, THB 7/km for the 11th to 20th kilometers, THB 8 /km for the 20th to 40th kilometers, THB 8.50 /km for the 40th to 60th kilometers, THB 9 /km for the 60th to 80th kilometers and THB 10.50 /km for distances above 80km.

BANGKOK TUK-TUKS

Locally known as ‘samlor’, Bangkok Tuk-Tuks are simply three-wheeled taxis. Bargain the fare before hopping on board and beware of fares that seem too good to be true as this can be a way to lure you to overpriced souvenir or jewelry shops. The approximate cost for a short 10-minute ride is around THB 40 – 100.

Any taxis that are called via a communication center can charge a further 20 baht as a service charge.

Tipping is not required but rounding up is common. For trips to/from the airport, expressway toll fees will be borne by the passenger. Word of caution: Check with the driver that he intends on using the meter before getting in and ensure that he switches it on once you are inside.

BANGKOK BUSES

The city’s extensive and inexpensive public bus network ranges in price from THB 8 to THB 30 depending on the type of bus. Typically, destinations are given only in Thai and so it is advisable to obtain a bus route map (available at most hotels, Tourism Authority of Thailand offices, and bookshops).

TUK TUK SHUTTER SERVICE

Arcadia Suites provides a free Tuk-tuk shuttle service to the Phloenchit BTS Station as well as other key locations including nearby office buildings.
